How to Commission Us:

*When commissions are open, we will post it in a journal and update the commission notice at the top of our profiles of any art site we use. We will ask you to fill out a commission quote form for whatever you are getting. We will be notified when you are done. All quotes are done ASAP and given via email. Please be very specific about what you want.

A reference must be included for any type of piece. Make sure your reference is also accurate. Any missing markings must be mentioned when putting your reference in the quote form. References must be flat color front and back. Side views and head views are a plus. If you don’t have a reference, contact us using the contact form and we can make you a colored sketch reference for $25. The reference is essentially free when you buy a suit.

You must be able to prove your age. We have a simple way of doing so that is safe as long as you follow our instructions.

Smaller Commissions(Hands, Feet, and Tail)

  • Complete the form with everything you’d want for your piece and please be specific. Pay close attention to the detail sections. They’re just as important as the rest. Double check everything before sending it in.
  • We will look over the info. If anything is missed or confusing, we will contact you for answers before getting your quote. If it’s good, we will get your quote and contact you when it’s ready. We are free to decide which commissions we will take, but we will be fair.
  • If the quote is accepted, we will require payment IN FULL due to the price being mostly materials.
  • Once payment is received, we will add you to our queue which you can find here: https://trello.com/b/iVa23PNb/fuzzbuttfursuits-queue .
  • Foam pieces will get work in progress shots and may be altered when shown for approval. Even if it’s a very small change, please mention it because it’s important that you’re happy with it. You can ask for more pictures if necessary.
  • If there is something we missed like a marking in your reference, we will add it in. If it is not on your reference and it’s small and colors we already have, we will add it as well. If it is not on your reference and it’s a big change, we will either say no or charge you extra for making us change it.
  • These will be first paid, first served unless a deadline is mentioned. Deadlines are not guaranteed and can’t always be reached.
  • Completion time varies and can depend on where you are on the list. Most small pieces are completed within a week.
  • Shipping is not included for pieces. Shipping is expected when the piece(s) is/are finished. Piece(s) will be insured when shipped so if anything goes wrong, we can remake the piece(s).

Larger Commissions(Heads, Bodies, Partials, and Full Fursuits)

  • Complete the form with everything you’d want for your piece and please be specific. Pay close attention to the detail sections. They’re just as important as the rest. Double check everything before sending it in.
  • We will look over the info. If anything is missed or confusing, we will contact you for answers before getting your quote. If it’s good, we will get your quote and contact you when it’s ready. We am free to decide which commissions we will take, but we will be fair.
  • If the quote is accepted, we will ask for 50%. If being put on the waitlist, we will ask for $50 up front. First half payment for the waitlist isn’t expected until we’re almost done with the active commission. This $50 fee is taken out of the price of the fursuit and is refundable if you want to cancel before we get to your suit. However, if you do not contact us back when we’re ready for your payment within 72 hours of our emailing you, you lose your slot and the $50. If you feel like you won’t be ready when we get to you, then please let us know. we will be in contact. For payment plans, the minimum payment for toony heads and straight leg bodies is $50/month. The minimum for realistic heads, digi bodies, and partials is $100/month. The minimum for full fursuits is $200/month. 50% must be paid for me to start on the suit.
  • Once the 50% is received, we will order materials and ask for the supplies we need from you. Most common being shoes, tracing, DTD, and measurements.
  • If you do not know how to do a DTD, follow these instructions and remember to mark where the tail sits if doing full body or legs. Please do not attempt to make a DTD by yourself. All people who have tried this have had to remake with help which would cost you more. Make sure that the dummy is taped back up before sending it and double check the quality. You do not have to stuff the dummy. We will ask you to remake if the dummy is not properly made or if we can’t fix it. If we have to tape it or fix issues, we will charge you $50. If you refuse to pay the $50 or redo your DTD, we will reduce your commission to a partial. If you ask for a refund after supplies are ordered, please skip down to the refund portion. Here are some tutorials for DTDs:

  • These will be first paid, first served unless a deadline is mentioned. Deadlines are not guaranteed and can’t always be reached.
  • Partials can take up to 2-3 months while a full suit can take up to 3-4 months. Heads and bodies can take up to 3 weeks each depending on difficulty.
  • When the suit is finished, we will ask for the last 50% after showing the full suit in pictures. Shipping is not included. Shipping is expected when the suit is finished along with the last 50%. All suits are insured when shipped so that if anything happens, we can remake.

Rush Orders (Not currently available):

  • If you want us to complete your partial within a month, or your full suit within 2 months, we will request 20% to be added onto the full price.
  • The 20% will be added to both halves.
  • If your deadline is missed, we will subtract the 20% you already paid from the second half.
  • If we complete your suit within that time without the rush fee, we will not add it in.

After you get your slot and pay:

  • Please allow 4 months for your commission to be completed at most unless stated otherwise. This especially applies to larger more complex commissions.
  • Smaller commissions may be done sooner. Please be patient and allow us 2 months to a year depending on how full the queue is. We try not to keep people waiting, but sometimes, it’s inevitable.
  • Please keep an eye on our commission queue for your commission’s progress. This will be the most helpful to you.

Turnaround Time:

  • Normally we are able to complete a full fursuit within 2-3 months, but please allow us the 3-4 months to complete it. We’re normally able to complete partial fursuits within 1-2 months, but please allow us the 2-3 months to complete it. This time frame is to give room for human error, corrections, and life issues to happen such as carpal tunnel, sickness, moving, or any other personal events that may get in the way of us completing our work.
  • Deadlines must be mentioned before we start your commission.

Payment Information:

  • Payment is in USD.
  • We use Paypal and Stripe.
  • We will ask for either your Paypal or Stripe email and send an invoice for payment. Discounts are calculated in the invoice.
  • Paying via invoice is simple. You will get an email notification stating we have requested payment from you. Follow the link in the email, and hit pay.
  • If payment is not received within 72 hours of receiving the invoice without contact or reason, you forfeit your commission slot. So please inform us if there’s gonna be delays before we send the invoice.

Refunds and Refusals:

  • We reserve the right to decline a commission at any point and are in no way obligated to provide a reason in the case of refusal.
  • We do not give refunds on the first payment unless it has not been used yet. The first payment is meant for materials and is normally used within the time that we receive the payment. You can have the supplies shipped to you or your new maker at your cost.
  • We reserve the right to cancel if we do not receive the materials we need from you within 6 months. If materials are bought before then, you will not receive a refund for them. You can have the supplies shipped to you or your new maker at your cost.
  • There are no refunds after your suit has been finished and shipped unless the suit is shipped back in the condition we shipped it in and can be sold. The suit must be sold before we will refund. If we get the suit back damaged, you will not receive a full refund. You’ve trusted us to make the suit, you can trust us to get your suit sold and get you a refund. We will not cover Paypal’s fees when refunding this way.

After Completion:

  • You, the commissioner, are allowed to post the completed commission to your personal/public gallery as long as credit for the fursuit or piece(s) is given to us. This includes all photos of your suit or piece(s).
  • Free repairs are offered for 2 years after you get your suit. This means small things such as tears, damaged foam, missing claws, etc. We try to make sure our suits are high quality, but, sometimes, things happen such as catching on something and material tearing or catching claws while going up stairs, etc. We don’t cover shipping for repairs, but that’s the only cost.
  • If you alter your suit or have someone else alter it for you, it will void any free repairs to the suit. Small easy repairs do not void the warranty. Please talk to us if you’re thinking of altering your suit.
  • Please let us know if there are ANY problems with your suit immediately after you get it. Even small issues matter. After contacting us, please let us know if you want the supplies to fix the problems yourself(will not void your free fixes) or if you want to ship whatever piece(s) back to us to fix them. We will cover shipping and we will let you know if they are things we can fix when you tell us what the problem is. We can’t learn if we don’t know there’s an issue!
  • Please try to remember to review your fursuit after you’ve had it for a while. You can review it here: http://forms.fursuitreview.com/ .
  • If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at either of our art sites linked in the contact tab or by email via the contact form.

Thanks for your consideration and we hope you choose us!
